As a member of Congress, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay never wanted us to see him sweat as he pushed his conservative agenda through Capitol Hill.
But as a contestant on ABC’s upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, the longtime congressman from Sugar Land happily sweated as ABC publicists snapped still photos of him rehearsing with partner Cheryl Burke.
DeLay, 62, nattily attired in a navy blue polo shirt and matching stretch pants, is seen twirling his partner and practicing the tango. Burke, wearing black tights and a bright blue top with a plunging neckline, looks relaxed and fluid as she teaches the veteran Texas pol some dance-floor moves.
